ABOUT ME

I got my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri. My dissertation was entitled "Man Up: Muscular Christianity and the making of 20th-century American religion." In it, I analyze how liberal Protestants, Catholics, Mormons, African American Methodists, fundamentalists, and evangelicals employed muscular Christianity to retain cultural relevancy.

I am married to Sydney and we have one "child," Biggie.

My hobbies include fly fishing, camping, cooking and eating BBQ, Dallas Cowboys football, Texas Rangers baseball, and good music (from Johnny Cash to Jay Z).
